I chose to do doors because I thought that each door held its own story. Especially where I live in Mill Valley. Every door that I took a picture of was beautiful in its own way and had its own personality. The doors in Mill Valley were so interesting to take pictures of because the ages and the styles of the house varied greatly. The doors told stories about the houses. They sort of described the owners of the houses in a different way. Based on the size, the decorations and the color of the door, I could imagine what the owner of the house might be like. The personalities of the different houses and doors where so diverse, and I think that’s what made the project so fun.

I chose water because I thought it was amazing just how many forms it can have. It’s interesting how some of them are everyday, like a water bottle or coming out of a faucet, that people take for granted, and some are forms that people travel to see, like a lake or a river. When taking these pictures I tried to focus on the glare, the color, and the sun.

I think I like circles so because they are like a dog chasing his or her tail, with their head ending up with their tail once was and the other way around too. I suppose circles are sort of sad in a way, because if you go all around them you end up where you start, but also I think they are lovely because they could be like a spiral going off into the clouds.

For my photo project, I chose water because I thought it would be fun to take pictures of the different sources of water we use without thinking everyday! I also chose water because it is hard to take photographs of it and I wanted to take the challenge. When I was taking my pictures, I thought deeply about the lighting in the frame. For my wild shot, I thought it would look good with the “ splatter” technique. I thought the project was a lot of fun and I should do it on my own some time!

I chose the theme of trash cans because I thought it wouldn’t be that hard to find a trash can and no one else would think of that idea. When I was taking my photos, I was thinking about light and shadow. I took different photos at different times of day, indoors and outdoors, and with different lights on and off.

When I chose the theme for the photos I thought about it for a while. Originally I wanted to do the tree in my backyard, but the weekend before the projects were due I decided that I wasn’t going to have enough time because I was going to ski in Tahoe. I decided to do snow, of which there was a lot where I was going. I thought it would be easiest to do that, and that it would be interesting to do the different forms of snow you could find at freezing cold temperatures. When I took the pictures I tried to include all the things that make a photo beautiful, like shadows, light, and contrast. In these pictures you can hopefully see all three.

I choose snow because of my passions. My passion of skiing is also a passion of snow. Powder runs! Long corduroy carved all the way down! All this skiing is in heart, snow. Snow is what skiing is truly about. Even though skiing is my passion, skiing shares my heart with snow. When I took my photos I was thinking about the contrast of colors and the simplicity of the photo. I wanted my photos to have the green of nature and an outback feel. I also wanted my picture to be simple. I wanted my pictures to have a calming effect and have also to have a second meaning. When I did my wild shot, I noticed that the the photo was kind of fake looking, or is it fake?

Baseball and I have always clicked, after playing it since I was two, it felt good to kind of give back. It was interesting using digital macro in all of my posted pictures. I focused on angles and zooming. Hope you enjoy/enjoyed.

All my life I’ve liked baseballs, I don’t know what it was about them but I’ve always liked there texture and their color. Then this year in sixth grade the photo project came along and I had my chance to do photos on something I loved. Later as I was actually taking the pictures I was mostly thinking about doing black and white and sepia tones and on a few of the photos I thought about cropping.

I chose flowers because each flower is unique with all sorts of colors. Its is also the time of flowers blooming. My photos have color, shadow, light, and blur. I tried to take photos from different angles so you could see the flowers in a different way. I’ve always loved taking pictures of flowers.
